Break Free From Writers Block! (Part 1)


  • Keep a journal. Note everything; Dream visions, journeys, stray thoughts, those random song verses...

  • Take a hike or a brisk walk to anywhere you desire. Clear your mind and breathe. Get outside!

  • Write in spurts. Do not labor over constrictions of verses and what you think you are doing. Be willing to neglect "perfection". Let it go, and open your mind.

  • Rest. Read. Exercise. Explore. Express.

  • Consider the writing experience you are capable of expressing is beyond yourself.

  • Note quotes and words from songs, write about them.  

  • Make list's.

  • Make a priority List.

  • Choose things that make you feel better.

  • Use times which we usually ignore, like when we travel or do things when our mind is less involved.
